Special care is taken in the matting of the art pieces from the subtle shades of the mat colors to their exact proportions.  All Treasured Sculptures are double matted.

"Measure twice, cut once" is a rule followed not only by Vermont furniture craftsmen, but by Marie, too.

From a single print through the matting and framing process, Marie can spend as long as two to three months to produce a final work of art.

The several layers that make up the final three dimensional work require extra care in the final matting and framing steps.  All are framed in solid wood frames behind glass.

Marie also cuts her own oval mats in which all of her flower and birds works are framed with the exception of "Roadrunner" which is placed in a rectangular frame.

"The Farmhouse" is a popular attraction at Marie's craft show booth to which she often takes as many as 60 to 70 of her works.  Those and others on are the following pages.
